Hi I am Mike and I’m a Surrey based wedding & portrait photographer. My style is very relaxed, natural and creative – and I absolutely love being a photographer. I’ve had a few careers before now but this has always been my first love and the one I am drawn to the most.
It’s great seeing a wedding day unfold, witnessing the day from my perspective and being trusted to capture your memories.
I love working with natural light as much as possible and quietly and discreetly capturing those emotive, meaningful story-telling shots of your wedding or event.
I love the details, the characters, the big and small moments that all make up a wedding, which really you can only get from being there beginning to end, documenting things as they are happening. My aim is to blend-in, taking photos naturally whilst everyone is enjoying themselves.
Most weddings require a bit of formal photography – you know, the special family photo for Granny’s fireplace and I appreciate how important these may be for you so as part of your wedding day, we can do a small number of simple and elegant formal group shots of your most important loved ones.
I’m a BIG fan of Bride & Groom portraits so we’ll work a bit of time into the day to get some great relaxed, fun, creative un-posed images of you both. If you’re the type that comes alive in front of the camera, we can get really creative! My approach is very much about capturing the spirit of your big day – where, what, who and when, capturing the emotions, laughter and tears, stories that are meaningful to you and whatever unfolds.

SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
HOW LONG WILL YOU STAY?
A day’s coverage is usually 8-10 hours and I like to start with Bridal preparations through to your first dance I normally hang around for free if party starts to get going to grab some cool photos for you as your guests get funky with their dance moves!
However formal or informal your wedding will be, coverage can be tailored to suit your requirements and if you require additional hours coverage, this can be agreed as I regularly shoot longer weddings. If you only want half a day’s coverage, I can do that too.
HOW DO WE BOOK?
To book you can either contact me via the contact page or by email Michael@mosullivanphotography.com I’ll let you know if I’m available to shoot your wedding, and if I am, we can then arrange to meet so I can hear all about your plans and answer your questions before booking. I’ll then send a booking form and contract – a deposit of £300 firmly secures the booking and your date is reserved. The balance is due 60 days before your wedding and I offer a variety of payment plans to make this easier for you.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?

WILL YOU TRAVEL?
Of course! I’ve done various shoots overseas and throughout the UK – to check my availability for your event, please contact me.
DO YOU TAKE ANY TRADITIONAL GROUP SHOTS?
I am happy to include a limited number of group shots, including a shot of all the guests if required but try to avoid long lists of endless groups that take up too much time on your wedding day! That way I can get on with what I do best so for this I recommend if choosing group shots to limit these to around 10-15.
CAN WE HAVE A MIXTURE OF PHOTOS IN COLOUR AND BLACK & WHITE?
I always provide a good mixture of both and am happy to provide more of one or the other if you have a preference.
CAN WE HAVE AN ALBUM OR PHOTOBOOK?
Yes of course! All my albums and photobooks are individually designed according to the images chosen so every book is unique.
Options include various different sizes of albums and I have some detailed and included in my packages to assist you. I also offer additional prints and pages; a very popular item is a parent album, which is a smaller exact copy of your album.
The suppliers I use are Queensbury and Loxley; both suppliers are amongst the best in the market and are of the highest quality – I can bring some samples when we meet.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?
Usually within 8 weeks after your wedding, but during peak times up to 12 weeks max. If you order an album, once your album is designed and the proofs signed-off, it will take about 6 weeks to print and deliver. I always book an after wedding sales session with each client so that we can go through the weeding images and put together the album, this also allows you to order any additional items when I am with you to answer any questions you may have.
WILL MY GUESTS BE ABLE TO SEE AND BUY IMAGES OF THEMSELVES?
Yes of course, each package is offered with an online gallery for the guests to view once you are happy with the images. I always do a sneak peek on Facebook for you during the processing of the images.
DO YOU OFFER REDUCED RATES FOR WEEKDAY WEDDINGS?
Yes, reduced rates are available for local Mon-Thu weddings. Please contact me for more info.
